Hello and welcome to the DEWS Club The main aim of the club is to have a friendly club and try to
arrange different activities throughout the year to suit the variety of
members, be it holding or attending competition events, attending shows so as
to allow members to display the varied selection of their cars on a club stand,
or social events and gatherings. Speed Series "Back to Downton" Annual Road Run The club was reformed by some of the original 1960’s club
members after a very successful ex Downton employees gathering that was
arranged back in 2006. It was so successful that the “Come Home To Downton “
event was held in 2008, which was another well received event . The club
has got stronger and has many enthusiastic members who have the drive and
ambition to keep the name of the genuine “ DOWNTON “ alive, as many of our
members not only worked at Downton, but others have original cars that were
either owned by Downton, or were worked on at Downton. The club welcomes all
new members, you do not need to have been a Downton employee or own a Downton
car, just being enthusiastic is quite enough qualification for you to fill in
the form and become a member. We look forward to seeing you at one or more of the events
throughout the year. |
