Speed Series 2012

Welcome to the DEWS Speed Series 2012, below are the details of the regulations, classes and entry form.
Full details of the DEWS Speed championship and entry form are now available.

DEWS Speed series 2012 Registration & Entry Form

The sponsors of the DEWS Speed series are :
HARRIS MOTORSPORT   

     
    Points for the Speed Series will only be given at the venues where there is a DEWS OWN CLASS  and you have entered that class & a registered club member.

    You are required to take part in both disciplines ( at lease one of each ) and the best  6 to count for points out of the 19 rounds listed.

    Eg:  5 sprints + 1 hillclimb   or  5  hillclimb  + 1 sprint  or   3 hillclimb +  3 sprints  etc…..

    There will be trophies awarded for 1st & 2nd place in each class at the end of the year proving there are 4 or more per class.

    The classes for the DEWS Speed Series for 2012 are as follows:

           Classes for road going ‘A’ Series Engine

      1.    Classic mini up to 1100cc
      2.   
      Classic mini up to 1400cc

          Class for road going – engine type free

      3.    Classic mini unlimited modification

      Classes for non road going mini’s

      4.    Modified 8 valve up to 1400cc ‘A’ series based engine
      5.    Modified 16 valve up to 1400cc ‘A’ series based engine
      6.    Unlimited for mini resemblance engine type free


         
    Other classes

      7.    Modified ‘A’ series engine class front & rear wheel drive unrestricted – road Legal
      8.    Modified ‘A’ series engine class front & rear wheel drive unrestricted
      9.    Invitation class for DEWS members whose cars fall outside other classes
      10. Downton related vehicles 1947 – 1976


    The organisers of the event will present awards to the class as per their normal criteria.


    For the Speed Series we will then split results into our own classes
    .

      One entry in class

    Note /   Drivers Safety equipment & Vehicles must comply with MSA blue book -

    Road going series , Production cars & road going specialist production cars S11 must comply with regs (page 326) MSA blue book           

    Proof of Road Tax , MOT & insurance is required .

    Modified Limited , Production cars & modified series , Production cars  S12 (page 327) MSA blue book 

    Sports Libre S14 (page 329)  MSA blue book
